This book is about a second chance romance story.
Joy and Dawson were inlove ever since they were teenagers. Something came and Dawson had to go for a long time. Joy has spend the last 3 years trying to forget Dawson and trying to find a way to escape Chancing. The only problem is that now Joy is unable to escape her prison , even if she wants to. But things are about to chance for Joy, as Dawson returns to town to attend his mother's funeral. Life wasn't easy for Dawson either, but he is willing to fight and save Joy from her miserable life.
My connection with the characters were high, except for Joy. I had a better connection with the second characters, Joy has this "mysterious veil" that you can't get through it. It might seem that you are missing some pieces of the puzzle.
But overall , the book is well written and the story line is decent. The story is told from both both sides.
