There were far too many coincidences happening in this story, some situations are unbelievable and illogical . Also to much drama : Lia getting blackmailed by her father, Reid reconnecting with his sister , Harper's mood swings and so on. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good  written drama but this story was not the case.

Moving on to the characters . 

Lia - bold, strong, a colorful character, with all her tattoos and pin up girl attitude....but that was about it. Looks and nothing more. Her character was too flat for me and her reactions abnormal. She agrees too easily with anything and anything  related to Reid. No questions asked.

Reid was no better. I honestly had no connection with either of them .

I'm not saying it's a bad book, it just didn't work out for me, too soapy for my taste. It was like watching one of those Spanish telenovelas.

 As I was reading  my rating stars went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars. The final rating describes the book as it is : OK ! Yes, this is going to be one of those long posts.

I'm well aware that a few of my reading friends gave this book a higher rating, but to me the plot , the dialogue and the characters seem ... highly improbable.

 Now from the start I'm gonna let you know that I dislike Deacon , and I use "dislike" as a nice term  because my deep feelings for him are of hate and anger.  At the end of the book I realized that I disliked him from the very first pages and throughout the entire story he didn't made any efforts to chance my opinion and feelings for him. 

There are two main reasons  :

1. His lack of empathy towards  his 5 years old daughter. I understand that he might not be father material but the way he treats her, the way  he avoids interacting with her. The poor girl spends most of the time with the brothers and mama Beth  rather than her own father. She is club's responsibility, they talk to her, hang out with her (play games, tea parties) and protect her, and not Deacon's responsibility.   

  But when a female stranger appears then he KNOWS how to behave , how to show affection, how to show emotions, how to accomplish Alexandra's wishes, how to talk to her, how to make her part of his life, while with his own flash and blood.... there isn't much of a daughter- father relationship between them and that irks me. It just didn't sit right with me.  He opens up way too easily in front of Alexandra but keeps his own kid at distance.Yes, he is trying to develop some sort of relationship with Willow but I have a creepy feeling that  the things he starts making for her ( private lessons, ballet room and so on ) are for and because of Alexandra and not for Willow , he seems more interested in keeping Alexandra pleased and close to him.  That's the feeling that I got. Deal with it.

2.  The second reason , with all the efforts made by the author this character  simply is implausible.  He is portrayed as a bad ass biker, a few punches here, a few sleeping around there and lots of cussing. But the reality is that Deacon , as well as the rest of the club members, is in fact pussy whipped big time ! 

And speaking about the club...they are bad and tough and over protective but they are never around when you need them. Something always happens when danger is near. 

Now , Alex was my favorite character and I was with her all the way until the author decided that it was a good idea to turn the sweet, honest  teacher into a slutty , jealous, possessive bad-ass biker bitch. No. It wasn't a good idea.

The only time when Deacon actually showed plausible feelings for Alex, she gets insecure and starts behaving like a club whore. Because parading yourself in front of the entire club in order to get your man's attention is a sign of respect towards your old man and his brothers. (on what planet?). 

The ending was epic .So unrealistic. First we have Deacon and Alex fighting , like two kindergarten kids , about who is more entitled to claim the final epic revenge over the rival.

And then the possessive bad-ass Alex  returns demanding for the entire club to go completely legit and clean up their act, even though Deacon is NOT the president.  "If you want to be with me then you will find a way"

...what...?

So far I liked what I read, I like it a lot.And yes, a "but" is just around the corner.

 What I don't like and I don't understand is why the author decided to split a book into  fragments.  So 85 pages...you can't really read too far into the story. I don't have much to write about. All I know is that Rose tries hard to protect her nephew from his father, a dangerous bike who , she strongly believes, killed Rose's sister, the mother of his child. She stumbles over Noose, a biker from a rival club , he just can't walk away  and not help Rose.  

The book ends with a cliffhanger...not so much of a cliffhanger. Not a strong enough cliffhanger to make me want to continue the story, sadly. So far this part of the story receives 3 stars.

Ms. Castille takes us down a violent and dangerous road . This was a bitter yet captivating story,  I'm so glad that I found another MC book that I can rate it with 5 -well deserved- stars!!
 For three months Holt is being captive into the Black Jacks dungeon, a rival club of the Sinner's Tribe. He had lost all hopes and  he is convinced that his brothers betrayed him, and this wound burns deeper than any over wound caused by Viper. But just when Holt was ready to embrace death someone new is thrown into the dungeon. A girl.

 Naiya was raised by the Black Jacks, after being raped by Viper at an early age, she now officially belongs to the sadistic president of the club. She has no one to run to , no one to protect her, her own mother was a drug addict and she gave Naiya to Viper in exchange for drugs. But now her mother is gone and she is at God's mercy.

Naiya and Holt manage to escape the dungeon but the bumpy ride just begins. Naiya wants the protection of the Sinner's Tribe but "T-Rex" is dead and Holt is controlled by anger,he is blood thirsty and he is determined  to get his revenge over the Black Jacks and his ex-club, the Sinner's Tribe.

Taming The Biker (The Biker #5) by Cassie Alexandra

After a short fling with hell-raising womanizer, Taylor (Tail) Adams, Lauren Macey discovers that she’s pregnant with the biker’s child. Knowing that the MC lifestyle isn’t what she wants for their baby, and that Tail isn’t exactly ‘father’ material, Lauren decides not to tell him. This proves challenging, especially when she realizes that he isn’t ready to end their affair… 

This book was fun to read but it needs a little more work. Overall, I did enjoyed it but I feel that there are a few essential elements that are missing. 

As a reader I noticed that the story is focused over Taylor's hard work in getting different females into his bed. Yeah, I got it, he is a player and a womanizer. Nothing wrong with that.  But then the other half of the story is about Taylor trying to get Lauren in his bed. If it weren't for Mark to spice up the story line  a little bit I would have given the book a lower rating.And frankly speaking , just when things started to heat up .. the exciting part went down like a souffle. Mark got away too easily. It was like...just let's get rid of him already, just drag a line over his name.

All the biker stuff was not necessary , I don't really see the place of the MC in this story. Tail and Lauren's love story isn't as intense as I was expecting , sex scenes included. Violence?...not so much, except for a few punches here and there. 

Don't look at me with those eyes, I might have a problem with violence when it comes to bikers/mob/fighters/etc...I expect something dark & twisted , more blood and shady stuff. Lots of violence and drama. Umm, yeah, ignore the last sentence , I'll just drag a line over it .
